MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate Campaign announced on Friday the endorsement of Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh (R-Montgomery), President of the Alabama Public Service Commission. Cavanaugh began her political involvement in 1990 working for the Republican National Committee, and in 2005 she was elected Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party, the first woman to hold that position.

“Voters across this nation overwhelmingly rejected the failed policies of the Obama era last November when they elected Donald Trump as President of the United States,” Cavanaugh said. “I am confident that the people of Alabama will send the same message to Washington this December when they elect Judge Roy Moore to the United States Senate.”

“In order for Congress to pass the America First agenda of President Trump,” Cavanaugh continued, “the vacated seat of Jeff Sessions must be filled by a principled conservative who shares our values. That is why I am proud to endorse our Republican nominee and encourage all Alabamians to vote for Judge Roy Moore on December 12th.”

“I am honored to receive Twinkle’s endorsement,” Judge Roy Moore said Friday morning. “She has faithfully served the Republican Party for decades and I look forward to taking our shared conservative values to Washington.”

Cavanaugh’s endorsement comes on the heels of Thursday’s announcement that all six of Alabama’s Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives were backing Moore, as the Republican Party rallies around Moore’s candidacy.
