WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Judge Roy Moore? received a standing ovation from grassroots conservatives ?after his speech at the ?Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. The Summit, hosted by the Family Research Council, is one of the largest annual gatherings of conservative activists and leaders in the nation ?featuring speeches by President Donald Trump and former U.S. Representative Mich?e?le Bachmann, among others, over the weekend.

Following his Friday afternoon address to the Values Voter Summit, Judge Moore called Alabama’s December 12th U.S. Senate special election and the entire 2018 election cycle a “breakout opportunity” for conservatives to advance President Trump’s ?conservative ?agenda???.

“?Last November, with the election of Donald Trump, it was a day of great hope and enthusiasm," Moore said. ?"??Today, we are seeing stagnation in Congress and this frustrates many Americans? -? but I believe that we can Make America Great Again and this election is key ?to ?ensure that the America First agenda of President Trump becomes a reality."

"?Right now, Republicans have a slim 52-48 majority in the U.S. Senate. Far ?l?eft political groups have pledged to spend millions of dollars to defeat conservative candidates like me and flip the Senate, but I believe? that? the passion of grassroots conservatives will overcome the big money of Hollywood and the Mike Bloombergs of the ?l?eft,” Moore said.

“The far left sees Alabama’s December 12th special election as an opportunity to halt the ?Trump agenda in its tracks,” Moore remarked. “We can’t allow that to happen. The American military must be rebuilt, our borders secured, religious liberty protected, and the tax code simplified to unleash job growth. Over the next eight weeks, I look forward to visiting with voters across Alabama, as I seek to earn the opportunity to work with President Trump to drain the D.C. swamp and put? God and? the people of America first again.”
