Montgomery, AL- Today, the Judge Roy Moore for Senate Campaign announced the endorsement of Congressman Jody Hice of Georgia's 10th District. Since Hice, a former pastor, was elected in 2014, he has been an outspoken conservative champion in Congress for religious freedom, biblical values, and economic opportunity.

"I am proud to support Judge Roy Moore for US Senate.," Congressman Hice said in a statement. "My fellow members of the House Freedom Caucus and I need allies in the Senate. Judge Moore would be such an ally. Judge Moore has shown he has the strength to stand for principle, regardless of personal cost. Men like that are rare, and much needed in Washington."

In 2008, Hice was one of the first pastors in the nation to participate in Pulpit Freedom Sunday, which challenges IRS rules that muzzle free speech. In addition to serving as a pastor, Hice also hosted a conservative talk radio program, the Jody Hice Show.

Like Judge Moore, Hice believes the Ten Commandments are the bedrock of our nation or any successful endeavor. Judge Moore sits on the Honorary Board of Ten Commandments Georgia, a grassroots organization Hice founded in 2003 when the ACLU sued the Barrow County Board of Commissioners to force removal of a Ten Commandments display from the Courthouse.

"Jody Hice is a stalwart defender of faith and freedom," said Moore. "I appreciate his support and his leadership in acknowledging God in the public square. I look forward to working with him and other like-minded members of Congress to push back against the forces that tear at the fabric of our nation."
