MONTGOMERY, AL - Today, the Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate campaign announced the endorsement of business leader, conservative activist, and past President of the Christian Coalition of Alabama, John Giles.

"Judge Roy Moore is a proven, tried and tested principled man of character," said Giles. "The judge is the perfect candidate for this job because he is Jeff Sessions on steroids. He will stand up for the values of Alabama and will never bow or be drawn into the mire of the Washington establishment."

Giles served as President of the Christian Coalition of Alabama from 1998-2006. During his tenure as president he tenaciously lobbied on behalf of economic, moral and socially conservative Christian values - most notably worked to pass the marriage amendment defining marriage between one man and one woman, fought against the expansion of gambling, abortion, and increasing taxes. During Judge Roy Moore's Ten Commandments battle in 2003, the Christian Coalition, led by Giles, rallied the grassroots from across the country to stand with Moore for religious liberty and the right to acknowledge God.

"I am honored to receive the endorsement of John Giles," Judge Roy Moore said Thursday. "John understands that America must first acknowledge God before we can return to the greatness that once was ours and this is why he spent years in the trenches, battling for the triumph of principles in Alabama politics. During the Ten Commandments trial, the Christian Coalition, led by John, was right beside me and I am honored to have his support once again as we take this fight to our nation's capital."
