Montgomery, AL- Today the Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate campaign announced the endorsements of former Alabama governor Fob James and former Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim James.

At the announcement, Tim James made the following statement:

"Many good people are in this Senate race, I personally know several of them. However, I have made a decision to support Roy Moore for the following reasons:

Judge Moore is a family man, a soldier, a judge, and a constitutional scholar.

His most important attribute is his character which matters the most in times like these.

I see a nation that's lost it's identity, it's character, it's way. If there ever was a time to elect Godly men to high office, this is it. Roy Moore is such a man.

Remember George Washington's proclamation to our young nation on October 3rd, 1789; he said, " It is the duty of all NATIONS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROVIDENCE OF ALMIGHTY GOD, TO OBEY HIS WILL, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor." Roy Moore has "OBEYED HIS WILL" and has been persecuted for it. For this reason, I will be voting for Judge Moore for the US Senate on August 15 and hope many Alabamians will do the same; he's the closest thing to a "founding father" that I've seen in my lifetime."

Former governor Fob James also released a statement supporting Judge Moore. "Roy Moore will make the right tough decisions, no matter the political consequences and President Trump badly needs this kind of support in the senate, now".

"Fob and Tim are both fine men and public servants who I have called my friends for years. I am honored to have there support in our campaign for the US Senate." Judge Moore said in a statement.

"Every day it is becoming clear that there are two candidates and two sides in this race" said campaign chairman Bill Armistead. "One is backed by the people of Alabama, the other is backed by Mitch McConnell and the Washington swamp."

Fob James served two terms as governor from 1979-1983 and 1995-1999. Tim James is a businessman and a candidate for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 2002 and 2010.
