Troy, AL- Today, the Judge Roy Moore for US Senate Campaign announced the support of Businessman and State Senator Trip Pittman, who represents Baldwin County. Pittman also ran in the special Republican primary to replace Senator Jeff Sessions that Moore led earlier this month with 39 percent of the vote. Momentum for Moore continues to grow as Pittman adds his support to that of 13 other members of the Alabama House and Senate, who announced their endorsement of Moore on Tuesday.

"Judge Moore and I both believe in limited government and fiscal responsibility, and I am pleased to support him," said Pittman. "Judge Moore has run a great campaign, and I firmly believe he's the best choice for Alabama. If the people of Alabama want a Senator who will go to Washington and stand up to the establishment by working to end out-of-control government, excessive regulations and address the devastating impact Obamacare has had on our families and the economy, we need to elect Roy Moore."

Pittman was first elected to the Alabama Senate in a special election in 2007. Since then, he has staked out a reputation as a fiscal hawk who is not afraid to stand alone on principle. Pittman founded Pittman Tractor Company in Baldwin County in 1988 and is a strong believer in the power of free enterprise and personal responsibility as the tool to change lives and achieve the American dream. In the Senate, he is the current chair of the Finance and Taxation General Fund Committee. He has also chaired the Education Trust Fund Committee.

"I'm grateful to have the support of a strong and principled leader like Trip Pittman," said Moore. "At the state level, he has worked hard to make sure Alabama lives within our means. That's exactly what I plan to do in the U.S. Senate, and I look forward to working with him and other leaders in the Legislature to promote the kind of robust economic growth that government fiscal responsibility fosters."
