Washington, DC- Today House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows announced his endorsement of Judge Roy Moore for US Senate, and released the following statement:

"I am proud to endorse Judge Roy Moore for the U.S. Senate. The people of Alabama are seeing millions of dollars in false advertising flow into their state. From what I know about the people of Alabama, their vote is NOT for sale. They want a strong man--a principled conservative--to send a clear message to Washington, D.C. ... that his vote can't be bought either. I look forward to working with him to advance conservative principles by repealing ObamaCare, passing real tax reform and securing our borders."

"I am deeply honored to have the support of a leader like Congressman Mark Meadows," Judge Moore said. "Since he arrived in Washington, Congressman Meadows has kept his word to the people of his district and kept his oath to uphold the constitution, which is exactly what I will do as the next senator from Alabama. I look forward to partnering with him and other members of the House Freedom Caucus to bring real conservative change to Washington, as the first Freedom Caucus member of the United States Senate."

Congressman Mark Meadows has represented North Carolina's 11th district since 2013. In 2015 he filed a motion to vacate the chair, which lead to the resignation of former Speaker of the House John Boehner. He has chaired the House Freedom Caucus, the leading group of conservative legislators in the House, since 2016.
